I have added a few minor details, I have been a little caught up in the holiday season and had to make a few christmas cards that used up a lot of valuable time that I could have used on this. But, after all, it is the holidays and I couldn't help but throw some christmas cards.

This is an incomplete final draft of my grd portrait. It is a portrait of a picture of me in a snapchat filter. It isn't too close to complete, but is definately going well for a first try. There was no rough draft, so I'm hoping it turns out as well as I think it will.
Description: What was the theme or subject of the work? What materials did you use?
I got the idea for the work when I wanted to write without using words. I used a standard piece of sketching paper and a sharpie marker. Analysis: Explain how you used the following in the artwork: elements of art (line, form, value, texture, space, color) and principles of design (unity, contrast, balance, movement, pattern, emphasis) Space and lines were most of the piece since it is an average piece of writing just in a different form Interpretation: How did you come up with your idea? What is the meaning or mood? I didn't want to do anything too complicated, but I still wanted to draw. So, I used a font that acted as a type of hieroglyphics Judgment: Is this successful? Why or why not? I don't consider it successful because of how badly it turned out, it was very sloppy, and it wasn't on an official piece of paper. |
